ARIFA participated in the Connected Africa Summit 2026 held in Nairobi, Kenya, bringing together policymakers, technology leaders, innovators, and industry stakeholders to advance Africa’s digital transformation agenda. ARIFA was represented by Eng. Dr. Dennis Mwighusa, Executive Director, who participated as a speaker during the summit. During his presentation, Eng. Dr. Dennis Mwighusa emphasized the importance of moving Africa’s AI and digital transformation agenda from ambition to practical implementation, measurable impact, and scalable solutions. The session highlighted the need for stronger AI governance, institutional readiness, digital infrastructure, talent development, and applied innovation to build resilient and inclusive digital economies across Africa. The presentation also showcased ARIFA’s ongoing work in AI policy development, AI readiness assessments, executive capacity building, applied research, and sector-focused AI solutions. Participants gained insights into how African institutions can integrate policy, innovation, infrastructure, and human capital to accelerate sustainable digital transformation. ARIFA extended appreciation to the Kenya ICT Authority and CIO Africa by dx5 for organizing and hosting the impactful summit.
