ARIFA participated in high-level engagements in New Delhi, India, including the Africa AI Village at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 and the South–South Cooperation Dialogue. The engagements brought together global stakeholders to advance collaboration on AI research, innovation, and inclusive development across emerging economies. ARIFA contributed to discussions on strengthening Africa’s AI ecosystem, with a focus on applied research, workforce development, and responsible AI adoption. Eng. Dr. Dennis Mwighusa, Executive Director of Africa Research Institute For AI, participated as a panelist in “Building Africa’s AI Research & Innovation Frontier” and led a breakout session on scaling AI education and workforce training for inclusive and just transitions. Participants gained valuable insights on expanding equitable access to AI skills and infrastructure, fostering collaboration, and translating innovation into deployable solutions with measurable societal impact.
